Activity Description:
By providing information and creating awareness about C diff infections and how to treat and prevent them in the outpatient setting.

Objectives:
1. Identify the risk factors for developing a C. diff infection.
2. Identify the symptoms of a C. diff infection.
3. Discuss and choose treatment options for a C. diff infection.
4. Identify risk of reoccurrence and drug treatment options.
5. Discuss ways to reduce the risk or prevent a C. diff infection.
6. Identify resources for more information about C. diff infection

This is a knowledge-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians.

Dr. McElhiney is the Compounding Pharmacist-in-Charge for Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. She oversees the entire compounding and repackaging operations for hospitals and the outpatient clinics within the IU Health system throughout Indiana.
